PBS Celebrity Chef Jeffrey Dahmer:
In an Absolut World — We Want Out.

In an Absolut World: PBS Celebrity Chef Jeffrey Dahmer.

After an acquittal by a jury of his peers (a tough group to find) and a fawning interview on “Bill Moyers Journal,” Jeffrey Dahmer parlayed his celebrity status into a PBS cooking show, “In Jeffrey’s Kitchen,” underwritten in part (the part not covered by our tax dollars) by a grant from the Absolut World Foundation. Guests were scarce and scared, but lauded by the mainstream media for doing the correct thing. The show was eventually cancelled after Al Sharpton’s National Action Network protested Dahmer’s almost-exclusive reliance upon African-American ingredients.

We used to think that Absolut was cool. Then they hit us with the artsy interpretations of the bottle campaign. Who was that aimed at? Not anybody we’d want to drink with. Now it’s gone totally douche. The “In an Absolut World” campaign is a smorgasbord of politically correct fantasies. Nothing could be lamer. PBS Celebrity Chef Jeffrey Dahmer? In an Absolut World—it could absolutely happen.

Anyway, Grey Goose puts it to shame—even if it is made by cheese-eating surrender monkeys.
