Expediency rules!

What we’re talking about involves many thousands of votes that have never been counted at all. And if we ignore the votes that have been cast, then where does that lead? The integrity of our democracy depends upon the consent of the governed, freely expressed in an election where every vote is counted.

I could be wrong, but didn’t Democrats invent the word, “disenfranchise?” Didn’t they hissy-fit their way through the courts over the votes of a few hundred supposedly disenfranchised voters in a few cherry-picked counties? Were they really concerned with the voters — or their votes?

How about disenfranchising 20-million-plus rank-and-file Florida and Michigan Democrats because their state party big-wigs decided to flout DNC rules? Why punish the voters? Were they supposed to know how to correctly choose between the urgings of their elected officials and the warnings of the DNC? WTH???

I guess their new mantra is, “Count Every Vote (if Howard Dean approves of it).”
